So... where to begin? Let's start out by discussing the site and it's beginnings... So, I originally started the site with the version you can see to your left (it was basically just a front page graphic to put something on the site)

How embarrassing...
Then came the rather wacky concepts... the next one involved an attempt to change the structure of a typical web site - thus the creation of the "a" site.

Great in theory, but...
It was time for another change. I wanted to learn DHTML, so I built the next site. It was not bad, but then another great idea popped into my head one bored afternoon.

Why have just one interface...
When you can put all the content into a database, and present it with a number of different "skins". So, at this point I developed what I like to call the "tron" interface.

And while still remaining true to my belief that we should all have a little more wackiness in our lives, I made the "Blue" site. This one was built to present the content in a "bubble". The only problem was that I couldn't quite be bothered making it work in Netscape, or at any resolution other than 800x600...
So finally, he struck gold!
(or so we thought)

Thus was born the gold version - a bit more tamed in it's appearance, and a bit more functional. But it lacked something - pizzazz perhaps? In any case, it lasted a while, but has been the latest in the long line of honoured web designs to retire into andrewneumann.com history.
And now we have this one :)

But enough about my site, more about me...
