Well, I'm here in New Orleans finally. I forgot how long a trip it is to the States, particularly anywhere that's not LA. To get here was about a 24 hour trip all up; 2.5 hours in the airport in Melbourne, then a 13.5 hour flight to LA, another 4 hours in the airport, then a 3.5 hour flight to New Orleans, then finally another hour or so in the airport/getting to the hotel.

It's just after midday here on Sunday. We got in last night around 7pm, then headed out for dinner and drinks with some Microsoft folks - got to bed around 12pm. I've been up and across to the convention centre this morning, which as always, is freakin' massive. Will try to take some photos. I did get to use a Microsoft Surface this morning to look up some expo information - pretty cool :)

Today is all about planning the next few days, doing some volunteer work to help rebuild New Orleans (which I'll start in about an hour) and meeting with some potential business partners. We then finish off the day with some networking...
