It's been a long time since I've blogged about work. I thought to keep a well rounded, nutritionally sound blog, I'd better at least mention what's been going on. Otherwise, in years to come when the aliens discover this blog, they might be reading it thinking "This guy never did any work!". So, without hitting too much commercial-in-confidence stuff re: work, here's a quick update. I'm having a ball (still) and things are really going well. The main thing on my radar right now is balancing the number of people we have in the team with the work coming down the pipeline (which is one of the main parts of my job). I want to be conservative, given the current economic climate, but we have so many great jobs coming up (and have won a whole stack of cool ones in the past month as well). It's quite an exciting time to be in our industry (and in particular our business). There's a stack of opportunity right now in IT if you have the right mix of government clients and small to medium businesses. Big corporations on the other hand I think have tightened their belts quickly and are not exactly the best basket to place all your eggs in.

Anyway, I'm having a great time at work - really enjoying it and haven't had a bad day yet. And considering tomorrow will be my 5 month anniversary of employment at OBS, that's a good batting average thus far :)
