It got me thinking - it won't be long until this symbol no longer looks like what it is supposed to represent. Telephones, I guess, remained in a relatively similar form factor for decades, but these days phones are taking on many different looks for many different markets. So, maybe more than one symbol could be used. Here's some that I came up with :)

And of course, if I could've been bothered, I would've drawn an over-the-ear all-too-funky Justin Timberlake style bluetooth headset. But that seemed like far too much effort for this trivial blog post :)
