History
Today marks a significant day for the US, and hopefully, in time, the world. I'm not going to cover it in a 14 page essay - many more will do that (and have done that) for all of us. I do want to say however how excited and genuinely hopeful I am for the US and it's standing within the world. Barack Obama shows more potential in a political leader than I have seen in an incredibly long time and has sent chills down my spine a few times with his speeches (in particular, his address to the nation on race following Reverend Wright's "outburst"). President-elect Obama has a lot to live up to and almost literally the world's eyes upon him. And his appointment to the position of Commander-in-Chief comes at probably the toughest time in the past 20 years. I wish him the sincerest of luck in his mission.
