End of Fin Year wrap-up
So, today is the last day of the financial year (and a good point again to take stock of how the year is going thus far). It's been a hard first half of the year. It's been a hard physical year so far; there's been a lot of sickness (colds, flu, gastro, sinus infections) in our house, my knees have been seriously troubling me going up and down the stairs here at Nunawading, and there's just been a general tiredness to our family for what seems like forever.
So, let's revisit my goals for 2008 and how I'm tracking:
Completed;
- Have 2 incredible nights with Dream Theater...
- See that Huckle leaves this world in the most comfortable way possible
In progress (short term);
- Move into our NEW HOUSE.
- This is waaay ahead of schedule - we'll probably be moving in Mid-August
- Ride the DWS wave at SDM.
- It's been a big wave during the past week, but seems as though everything is on the right path (I think... !)
- Go overseas again, hopefully for work.
- All things going smoothly, I'm off to Houston on Sunday, then through Japan on the way back for a holiday
- Quit smoking
- It's happening, slowly
In progress (long term);
- Continue to grow with Aurora.
- Surprise Steph with fun and exciting adventures, and little things to remind her that I love her
- Hire some kickass people (to join the already legendary team) for SDM
- Continue learning the drums
- Keep blogging. Target wise, again, I'd like to get at least 10, preferably 15, blog entries a month
- Inspire some people.
- Continue to give support to those who need it most, including those people I do and do not know personally
- Speak to my sister, clear the air.
- Learn more "management stuff" for work.
- Make some deeper connections with friends.
Not yet started;
- Grow the family.
Well, similar to my list update back in May - but I swear, things are happening, even if they're not quite coming off the list yet! OK, busy week ahead, hope you're doing well :)
