I was thinking the other night about Christening / Baptising and how much I thought it was a crock of shit (a friend asked the other day if Aurora was "going to be dunked"). But then I thought, what the hell is it all about anyway, who am I to make these judgements? Anyway, I thought it was all about absolving a person of sin, and that children are born into this world carrying sin and this is why we baptise them in a church. From my reading this morning, it's not so much about this, but more about the acceptance of Christ and being open to salvation. If you're interested, I would highly recommend getting on wikipedia and checking out "Baptism". (in particular the comparative summary - very interesting).

And I still think it's a crock of shit.
