Well, after a few plumbing problems around the house (actually in the backyard), it's final; Aurora will be a plumber - there's damn fine money in it. You might find it hard to believe, but I'm thrilled that we just spent $1,000 on a plumber. I'm thrilled that Yarra Valley Water just ripped out one of our trees, dug a 2m hole in our backyard, replaced a large section of pipe and then put it all back together again. I'm thrilled because there was a prospect that we were going to have to pay for it... all $6,000 of it. Thank God the conversations had between myself, Yarra Valley Water and our plumber resulted in Yarra Valley Water deciding to replace the pipe on their nickel. To get out of it just paying the plumber $1,000... I'm wincing (never enjoyable to pay large, unexpected sums of money... especially at Xmas time), but fairly relieved as well. And fingers crossed, no more plumbing problems.
