Been a while between birthdays (which has been a nice break from blogging about them). However, today is worth breaking the silence, as it's the wonderful Tanishka's birthday. I realised that I haven't seen Tanishka since my birthday (just over 6 months ago), and that's been a real shame, because Tanishka is such a beautiful, amazing, inspiring woman, it's truly a crime not to enjoy her company. She's got a great sense of humour (if not a little self-deprecating) and I feel a strong bond with her - I think we share some similar traits. She's very passionate about her work (www.starofishtar.com), and such a kind, generous person. She often puts others above her own needs, and is such a great teacher; her daughter is very lucky to have her as a teacher and role model. She's a good listener, has a good socially minded ethos and is an all round clever clogs in my books.

So here's to you Tanishka - Happy Birthday! Hope you have a most excellent day!
