I can't believe (looking back through the blog) that I didn't write anything about our Sorrento trip 2 weekends ago (1st and 2nd April). I have been busy I suppose... Anyway, we headed down to Sorrento to the wonderful beach house of Meg's parents on the Saturday morning, after leaving probably a bit later than anticipated. But, quite coincidentally, we arrived within 10 minutes of the two sets of friends (Meg/Gav/Samuel and Stocky/Vanessa) who we would be spending the weekend with. The main things I wanted to write about the weekend were;

• We have ace friends. We had a great time with the guys
• Samuel (now about 14 months old) is great value. He has such a personality already. Can't wait to see him grow up
• Aurora did great on her first night away from home. She slept through the night, and a had a little trouble getting to sleep in somewhere not quite as dark as her bedroom, but really, had little troubles
• Sorrento is a beautiful part of the world (um... you probably knew that already). Going out for a short walk on Saturday afternoon we got to see some great views across the sea.
• I miss playing pool regularly. I haven't played in such a long time. We're heading to a pool house for work in a couple of weeks - I'm really looking forward to that.

And I really like the idea of taking a break with friends. Not just catching up for a few hours, but really spending some quality time together. So, Gav, Meg, Stocky and Vanessa, thanks for spending a nice dinner, some conversations and time with us that weekend and helping us to recharge
