Don't worry, it will be over soon...
Been listening to a LOT of Coheed and Cambria in anticipation of Wednesday night's concert. In theory I can understand why people don't necessarily get into the band - vocals are certainly in the higher register, are a little bit "affected" at times and the songs are quite long... but in practice I don't get it. They are such an incredibly compelling band to me - their songwriting is superb. They really paint an aural landscape with their production and use some great rhythms. They've got a track from their second album called "Three Evils" which I'm listening to right now. It's pretty much got a progressive change every 12 to 24 bars. And great recursive melody themes as well.
