Happy Birthday GVB
I've come up with this thing where I'm going to write about people I know on their birthday in this here blog. Then you can get to know some of my friends. I'm bound to forget a few birthdays - hell, I don't even know some of them, but let's give it a crack and see how it goes.
First cab off the rank is Greg, or GVB as I refer to him. I also fondly call him "Greggles", which I think he secretly hates :) Greg is a great guy - his laugh really takes over his body when he gets into it, and he fits well into my category of friends who really work towards something they want. His dedication and perserverance inspires me, and he's got this one look, when he's intently listening to something you're saying, or really thinking about something, that makes me smile - because he's just really into it, and you can just see it. Hard to explain, but one of the many things I like about him. He's pretty no-nonsense too - to the point, very direct. I like that. Sometimes I feel like I've been let into "the inner sanctum" with Greg, which is special - as I get the feeling he doesn't act like this with everyone. He's got good taste in music (well, he likes my guitar playing at least), and has landed himself an awesome ladyfriend (more on her later in the year). And he's going to be a great Dad I think.
So, here's to you Greg - Happy Birthday!
