The Grinch is a great movie. I remember avoiding it when it came out, thinking it would be too soft or too sappy. Then we hired it when it came out on DVD - and I was pleasantly surprised. It's fun, slickly filmed and directed, a great story and well acted by all involved (including Max the dog). Jim Carrey really comes through with the goods sometimes - this being one of those times. Let's review the last 10 years of Jim's career...

Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004) .... He was good, movie was pretty ordinary though
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004) .... Haven't seen this still, but by all accounts, its awesome. I need to get off my ass and see it - maybe that's something to do in the next few days!
Bruce Almighty (2003) .... Very good
The Majestic (2001) .... Great
The Grinch (2000) .... Awesome
Me, Myself & Irene (2000) .... haven't seen it
Man on the Moon (1999) .... haven't seen it
The Truman Show (1998) .... His finest moments, incredible movie, great role
Liar Liar (1997) .... Mediocre (I thought), but given the amount of reruns it gets, it must be well liked by a bunch of people out there.
The Cable Guy (1996) .... Good (little predictable I thought)
Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls (1995) .... Great
Batman Forever (1995) .... Good
Dumb & Dumber (1994) .... Great
The Mask (1994) .... Great
Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994) .... Awesome
